Lucinda Gatesman


Lucinda Gatesman is a student at Texas Christian University studying under Dr. Shauna Thompson. She is pursuing a degree in Music Performance and a certificate in Arts Leadership and Entrepreneurship, after having transferred from Collin Community College, studying with Dr. Jessica Schury Peckham. 


Lucinda has received awards such as the “Living Legends Scholarship,” The John Philips Sousa Award, the “Semper Fidelis” Award, and in competitions, placed in the National Flute Association Collegiate Flute Choir, a finalist in the Collin College Talent Show, and as a finalist in the Claire Johnson competition. In Collin Community College, she was voted and served as treasurer and Student Government Representative for Music Bachs, a music club on campus. She has served her community by helping to create a student-run organization, “Epoch Performing Arts for Hope-” a high school volunteer organization comprised of over a hundred members, which serves the community by visiting homeless shelters, nursing homes, lunar new year celebrations, and more, with live music, dance, tutoring, martial arts, and more.
