Program History
Since 2009, the Timber Creek High School Falcon Band and the TCHS Band Parents Association (BPA) have brought a vibrant presence to the Fort Worth community!
The Timber Creek High School Falcon Band program is the largest organization on campus and has grown into one of the most competitive in the state.
The marching band has advanced to the UIL State Marching Band Contest five consecutive years (2021–2025) and has competed at Bands of America Regional and Super Regional contests in St. Louis, Conroe, San Antonio, the DFW Metroplex, and Midland — earning the 4A Class Championship in Midland in 2018.
The concert program has been equally decorated. Timber Creek ensembles have consistently earned UIL Sweepstakes honors, and the Wind Ensemble has twice been named a National Winner by the Foundation for Music Education (2022, 2024) — one of only eleven bands nationwide to earn the honor in 6A Class in its most recent year. The program has also been invited to perform at the Western International Band Clinic in Seattle (2016), the Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago (2019) and the Music For All National Festival in Indianapolis (2025).
Beyond the field and the concert hall, Timber Creek musicians pursue paths in music education, music therapy, performance, and Drum Corps International — carrying the program's standard of excellence forward.
The Timber Creek Falcon Band is one of only five high school bands in the nation selected to march in the 2027 Rose Parade®.
None of this is possible without an extraordinary community behind it. Parents, families, and volunteers contribute more than 14,000 hours a year to the program — proof that the Falcon Band's success on the field is matched by the dedication behind the scenes.
