Christian Gonzalez is a multi-instrumentalist performer and educator primarily of woodwind instruments. As a performer, Mr. Gonzalez can be seen consistently throughout Dallas-Fort Worth performing with live musical theatre. He can be heard as a clarinetist on several Teaching Music Through Performance in Band and GIA Wind Works albums with the North Texas Wind Symphony. Additionally, he has recorded on flute and piccolo with the Lyric Stage Orchestra in the first full-length recording of The Golden Apple. Other credits include performances with Abilene Opera Association, Lone Star Wind Orchestra, UNT Pierrot Chamber Players, Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Musical National Tour, Turtle Creek Chorale, and Lyric Stage.
Mr. Gonzalez holds a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas in Multiple Woodwinds. Prior to attending UNT, he received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Louisiana State University. He has studied woodwinds from many inspirational teachers including, Kimberly Cole Luevano, Stephanie Thompson, Terri Sundberg, Kathleen Reynolds, James Ryon, Terri Sanchez, Robert DiLutis, Tasha Warren, and Gabriel Beavers.
