Brett Copeland

Brett Copeland is a multi-faceted musician who is actively performing, composing, and teaching low brass and electronic composition. He is new to the DFW area and has maintained a freelance performance career in upstate New York over the past few years where he played tuba with Symphoria (Syracuse, NY) and was a substitute musician for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also acted as Principal Tuba with the Venice Symphony (FL), the South Shore Symphony Orchestra (FL), and the Ash Lawn Opera (VA). Brett is a founding member and tubist for Flower City Brass, a brass quintet established at the Eastman School of Music in 2016, who recently spent the summer performing at the Aspen Music Festival in 2021. Brett earned a DMA in Tuba Performance and Literature with a Certificate in Arts Leadership from the Eastman School of Music ('20) where he was a Teaching Assistant for both the Tuba Studio and the Eastman Audio Research Studio (EARS).
